I tightened purchase clarity in Death Automation: 1x cost is always visible, selected 10x/100x costs now show correctly, click behavior is cleaner, and Death Worker Shed upgrades got a fresh balance pass.

Just finished my second game jam of the year!

Things didn't exactly go to plan as always... but we are already working on an update to fix the bugs!

In Tree Lover's Journey, you must lead a Kakapo tribe through the woods to find a hermit shaman who can heal your wounded friend. Gather resources by day and defend them by night to survive the trek.

Added array and dictionary support for the in-app inspector.

Todo 1: add,remove of elements in an array or dictionary. Build an add dialog for the element type selection.

Todo 2: Add support for nested Resource objects for inspection.

i've been told a couple of times players may like to have a more active choice on their build, and i don't disagree, so i've modified something really deep in the core loop: you can now select the Arcane of the random spells you find #godot #turnbased #gamedev

A key mechanic of #Sonic games is 'path swapping'. Changing which collision layers sonic interacts with allows things like loop-de-loops and intersecting paths.

Getting this to work in #Godot was a pain as each TileMapLayer does not control what physics layers it uses, it's the shared TileMap.

Without modifications I'd need to maintain a dupe map for each layer (3 in my case).

Instead, each TileMapLayer runs a script that, at runtime, duplicates the TileMap and modifies the Layers.

The incredibly longevity of Half-Life for mods and Quake for custom maps always makes me think how cool it would be to have a generic Godot FPS template and low-fidelity asset library.
I think it would lower the barrier of entry massively when people can just download one package and start making maps right away, and then later get deeper into the weeds to add more mechanics and custom assets once ideas get more ambitious.

Oh boy, this took forever...

There are so many conditions for a button to be visible/enabled... It depends on whether the previous is unlocked, then the previous of the previous, then certain upgrades may require goals to be completed... Then the tooltip needs to show either the upgrade or the goal's description... Then the style of the button must change...
