It was the year of the Great Darkness. Chameo, the Lord of DarkSky, became ever more erratic. His followers grew uneasy. Many were seen in the free fields of the Mastodonians, setting up temporary tents, talking to each other about the decline of DarkSky and occasionally asking a Mastodonian passer-by about life in the free fields.
What shall we do about the visitors from DarkSky, one of the knights asked the Lady Joan Mastodon.
Let them find their own way, she said. Most will return to Chameo, their souls are bound to the Great Algo, even if they don't know it themselves. But some will stay.
Those who stay will be welcome, make sure to help them settle. Those who wish to leave we shall not stop. We need not worry either way. Our task is unchanged: to make free expression resonate. Go, plant your hashtags now.

Veo cierta fijación en Mastodon con hablar mal de Bluesky (mientras que estos ignoran la existencia de Mastodon).
Curiosamente, veo la misma dinámica entre Bluesky y Twitter. La gente de Bluesky critica Twitter y estos ni saben que existe Bluesky.
¿No será envidia? 🤔
PD. Sí, lo digo a raíz de la enésima movida con la moderación. Y es que es imposible que una decisión, la que sea, contente a todos... pero de ahí a acusar a Bluesky de red social tránsfoba va un trecho muy grande 🙄

Jack Dorsey, "visionary" behind Twitter and Bluesky, is also the CEO of Block. Block owns Square and CashApp, the latter of which decided to basically hold UK sex workers' money hostage by limiting withdrawals with no notice and no recourse.
So yeah I don't trust anything he creates or manages.
Including Bluesky, including Tidal.

@ikuturso I’m sure it could’ve been handled with more tact. But as it is I view this as one of the usual social media dramas that people kind of love to hate to love, but which ultimately come and go without any real, lasting effect.
I think the best that can come from it is for more people to realise #BlueSky is fundamentally centralised and if they want something truly decentralised, they should be on Mastodon.
