Bluesky's Official Responses Regarding the System Outage
Yesterday Bluesky posted that the outage was cause by a "sophisticated Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack", and promised an update by the end of the day. Yesterday's end of day update was simply that the would provide an update by this morning. This morning they posted an update that they would provide an update by the end of the day. Now they have posted that they will provide an update by Monday morning.

I maintain #Bluesky didn't just have so-called infrastructure problems. I don't buy it. They were #attacked. #Russia banned them on the 15th. That part of the network collapsed and probably created all sorts of cascading problems cuz it's decentralized, not unconnected & the feds are up our ass!
