#Bluesky ist natürlich total transparent was den aktuellen #outage angeht. Die Server api.pop1.bsky.app und api.pop2.bsky.app werden auf ihrer Status Seite seit heute einfach nicht mehr angezeigt und dadurch schaut es dort so aus, als ob alles wieder läuft.

In my view, this demonstrates the real advantage of a #federated network. #Bluesky may be described as "decentralized" at the protocol level through the #ATProtocol, but in practice the service still relies heavily on the centralized infrastructure of a single company. A federated architecture such as @Mastodon’s is clearly the more resilient model when failures like this occur.

Bluesky had to fight against a "sophisticated Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack" for many hours.
