Currently following two "talking" cats on #xiaohongshu. One is a chaotic orange who also is a genius, able to communicate clearly with the buttons. The other one, a gorgeous fluffy beauty, is blissfully ignorant (aka an utter dunce) who thinks the buttons are magic things that will make human feed it. Her videos are filled with her utter confusion as human does anything BUT give her food. (She keeps missing the "food" button, poor darling.)
In one "episode", the human concluded that Fluffy Beauty is an airhead and told her so via buttons, which, she of course gazed blankly at human in response, wondering again why the food dispensing buttons are broken again. The smart kitty, however, went over to his buttons and told human Mum to stop calling Fluffy Beauty a dunce.
These cats give me life.

Banning kids under 16 from social media might make great headlines, and give the government the appearance of doing something meaningful, but it’s tokenistic at best, harmful at worst. We could have an internet that doesn’t consume us for fun and profit. We’re choosing not to.
