I'd like to manage a series of motors that are linear (pushing and pulling motion) and I'm trying to find the best way to accomplish this.

Farewell to my 11.5-Year-Old RaspberryPi Weather Station
Eleven and a half years ago, I built my first RaspberryPi weather station using sensors from Tinkerforge. Today, I shut it down for good. Not because it failed — but because its job is done. It’s been replaced by a Netatmo setup, and unfortunately, I don’t need it anymore. But admitting that a project’s lifespan is over always takes some effort — well, to me at least.

Second #raspberrypi pro-tip to former self: connect it to your router with an Ethernet adapter, and SSH straight into it.
It was a waste of time trying to set it up from a USB adapter to another computer, or even hooking up mini-HDMI + keyboard.
I recently set up a #pihole to redirect DNS on top of my local network.
I mistakenly thought it would be able to handle YouTube ads. Unfortunately Pi-Hole doesn't work for that (anymore?).
Pros: I am now blocking ~10% of all DNS calls over my network! Even with an ad blocker, I'm seeing cleaner websites as a result. Blame the recent loss of #uBlock Origin, I guess. RIP.
Cons: Setting up a #RaspberryPi Zero is a downright pain in the ass. Pro-tip to past self: get the non-Zero version and save yourself from buying like, 3 sets of adapters.
