Either using a web browser and a #HomeAssistant dashboard or something more custom written in #Rust with #slint_ui

I somehow missed the fact that the new version of #RaspberryPi OS based on Debian trixie was release on 2025-10-01, but all versions are now on my #FOSS #torrent server, and the bullseye versions paused and pending deletion. The bookworm versions will remain until trixie is superceded.
I also updated all packages on my travel Pi and Pi-hole, but I will not be installing trixie today.
Fortunately, my Pis don't run anything other than Pi-hole, so wiping them clean isn't that big of a deal.

When I was on the Amtrak a few weeks ago, I had a strange malfunction of my #travel network rig, which consists of a tp-link travel WiFi router, a #RaspberryPi 4B to run Pi-hole, and a UGREEN 145 W/25000 mAh power bank.
My Pi inexplicably stopped working and would not boot back up for a long time. Eventually, I got it working again, and didn't have any more problems with it, until last night.
I was at a meeting downtown, and halfway through the meeting, my Pi stopped working and wouldn't boot.

I received another batch of 10 CM0 last week. Combining the results from all batches I'm seeing a 25% "failure to boot from eMMC" rate which is less than ideal 😭 .

Inzwischen habe ich alle möglichen Varianten eines ROON Endpoints ausprobiert. Heute eine Allo Digione Signature zusammengebaut und in Betrieb genommen. Der Sound, den dieses kleine DIY-Gerät am S/PDIF Coaxial absondert, ist wirklich phänomenal. Das übertrifft alles, was ich bisher gehört habe und wird damit mein absoluter Favorit für die Soundausgabe.

I'm currently battling a headless install using the SSH userconf.txt files in boots and a .nmconection file in system-connections . After a long time I can't ping the device. Putting the imaged card in a reader I can see my user accounts have been created but no network..putting a monitor on to see what's happening, there's a weird cloud-init message and on login no WiFi and a WiFi is disabled by rfkill message.
