Das ist pfiffig: Für den Raspberry Pi 5 gibt es einen neuen M.2-SSD-Hat "compact" (ca. 14 €, bei Reichelt & Co. lieferbar).
Damit passt wohl alles in ein Standard-Gehäuse (das mit dem Deckel-Ventilator).

Jeff (@geerlingguy) has a great post about setting up a Zigbee dongle in HA and the setup for the dongle and the power monitoring plugs he mentions is a breeze. The responsiveness is nearly instantaneous.
Power monitoring devices around the house is a very useful concept which was the crux of my decision to revisit HA.
Incoming dashboard shots this evening after work.

I did it, guys, I revisited installing and setting up Homeassistant again because I just cannot let it go.
First off, I used a Raspberry Pi instead of trying to do something fringe like running HAOS in a docker container or a Proxmox VM. I did, however, image it onto an SSD so I am not relying on an SD Card.
After letting the system do it's standard setup for about 20 minutes, I could login to the web interface without any issues.

Just a reminder that current Raspberry Pi OS (Trixie desktop) does not boot successfully on an original Raspberry Pi. Maybe it would have been successful but disconnected the rPi from power after 15 minutes.
Just if you had any good thoughts about Raspberry Pi.
