Finally, Soulscircuit - the two-man startup behind the Pilet 5 and Pilet 7 handheld #RaspberryPi console things - has announced that it's scrapped the original designs for a move to the Compute Module 5.

Which leaves everyone who backed the #crowdfunding campaign and bought (or already had) a Raspberry Pi 5 for it up Schitt's Creek, to coin a phrase and name-drop a comedy. It's already nearly a year overdue, too. Backers are displeased.

Niklaus Wirth의 Oberon 운영체제가 Linux나 에뮬레이션 없이 15달러 Raspberry Pi에서 bare metal로 직접 부팅되는 모습이 소개됐다. Pi 3B, Pi Zero 2, Olimex ESP32 등에서 SD카드만 꽂으면 몇 초 만에 Oberon 그래픽 데스크톱이 실행된다. 오래된 운영체제의 현대적 재현 사례로 흥미롭다.
