To get your #ubuntu #raspberrypi working at least as well as it did a few days ago, rip out all the auto update shit! Related is anyone making a linux os that uses ssd and hdd out of the box to NOT put the var/log stuff on the SSD? I just spent hours trying to get services to put rapidly changing stuff on a HDD and fighting security FOR FUCKS SAKE guys make this easy! I have a /notssd partion if you see that FIX THE BUG HERE

The small form-factor memory cards in the RPi are a pain… I have two, one with satellite radio related software and one with an airplane radio related software. Sometimes I swap them, and leave one on the desk next to it, because putting them somewhere else means I will lose it(<- this is what went wrong).

Yesterday I swapped one them and guess what: ten seconds later I could not find the other one anymore. I put it on the table next to it. I checked the boxes next to the table, I checked everywhere. Lost. Gone. Disappeared.

How about some off-beat use cases for the ManT1S and ManT1S-Bridge to start the week? 😁

I finally managed to build a image for my #Raspberrypi using #disko.

The Pi boots with UEFI and has a LUKS paritition containing BTRFS.
There is still a lot to do but I'm getting really close to a usable state.

I still find it very satisfying to build these kind of things with #NixOS

Promising :)
#ceramic-engine (2.0.0) on #raspberryPi 5
Just had to change the `patchGlslVersion` function because the Pi only works with 300 es.

🚨 Spoiler alert: Google isn't actually dead, no matter how dramatic the headline pretends. This article is just a circus act 🎪 of random tech projects: from Raspberry Pi to , and even magic tricks! 🎩✨ Who knew tech journalism could juggle so many unrelated topics? 🤹‍♂️

I've been stuck on #1Password 7 for years because I didn't want to move to the cloud, but this weekend I finally got #Vaultwarden set up on a #RaspberryPi and it's going well so far.

I think I might have finally figured out why my S3 performance is regularly pretty bad. I'm currently copying a 30GB log file into a bucket, and below is the CPU of the Pi 4 on which the Traefik instance fronting the Ceph RGWs is running. I get around 25 MB/s. I think my Pi 4 Homelab might finally become a bit long in the tooth.
