🍓🤖 Oh, look, Raspberry Pi strapped an hat on their little machine, flaunting of like it's 2010. 🙄 Sure, you might free the CPU, but you'll still be waiting for your AI to finish its morning . ☕

My full review - 2,400-ish words, I'll warn you now - will be up whenever the editorial team over the pond gets out of bed.

To quote DeepSeek_R1's distilled 1.5b-parameter model running on the thing, though, here's a summary: "Conversation context is full. It is adivsable [sic] to clear context as cache size was reached."

My friends, I present to you: the future. <sigh>

I can now reveal what I was working on yesterday: say hello to the HAT+ 2, a Hailo-10H accelerator board for the Raspberry Pi 5 with 8GB of on-board RAM - tailored for generative-AI.

If you wanted to spend $130 so your Raspberry Pi can lie at you based on a statistical selection from a massive training set of stolen data, well, now's your chance.

I habe a Raspberry Pi 4 (2GB RAM, 32 bit Raspberrypi OS) which runs some services (PiHole,homeassistant,....) 24/7.
I want to add immich to view photos via app and browser and use the face recognition & search feature . However, the device crashes regularly during the nightly task execution after midnight when it runs out of RAM.
Does anyone have an idea how to keep using this device (not going to buy a new one....) to solve this issue ?
