It’s been a while since I last played with this, but I’m wondering if someone has a recommendation for a really good #SDR - receive only, a mix of #hamradio, #CB, #APRS…. Something with wide bandwidth so I could record say, all #FMRS or #GMRS channels at once, or listen to the whole #900Mhz #ISM band for #LoRA and #Meshtastic chatter.
I’d probably run it off a #RaspberryPi 500, so USB is preferred rather than PCI-E.

#M5Stack is switching it up a notch with the #CardputerZero (more like a Walletputer at this point) - their proven cardputer format but with a #RaspberryPi #ComputeModuleZero (#CM0) instead. And the thing will be compatible with their 100+ M5 modules. Comes with: 320x240 display, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB-Host socket (USB-A and USB-C!), 10/100M Ethernet, 3.5mm audio out, HDMI, speaker, mic, MicroSD, etc.
"Lite" version (as above) for $59, normal version (adds an 8MP camera, gyro+accelerometer, 32GB MicroSD) for $89. But only if you pre-register. (Retail prices are going to be $99 and $149, they say.)

Ordered another #RaspberryPi per-loaded mircoSD card, since having issues writing one here. Could be my adapter?
And £3.50 postage with #Ervi or £3.90 with #RoyalMail? Happy to upgrade there!
I wonder if some of you CPU vuln nerds out there would find this interesting: https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/issues/1451#issuecomment-4149414256 #security #arm #raspberrypi #raspberry_pi #vulnerability #foss
Boh Raspberry Pi OS Veut Qu'on Met Le Mot De Passe Dé Qu'on Met La Commande "sudo", Donc Ca Risque D'etre Chiant !
A security update for Raspberry Pi OS
Today we are releasing version 6.2 of Raspberry Pi OS, the second update to the Trixie version we released last year. This update is mostly a round-up of all the small changes and bug fixes we have made over the past few months, but there is one significant change that we’d like to flag up: passwordless sudo is now disabled by default.

Bah, my old #Balena Fin board only has a Compute Module 3 not a 3+
So 32bit only
Raspberry Pi OS ends open-door policy for sudo
Running 3 Pironman 5 setups, each with two NVME 1TB drives. Having lots of issues with the second drive on each device. Basically the OS sometimes sees the drive, but won't talk to it, sometimes it doesn't see the drives at all. The one that does work has many R/W errors. Anybody seen this before?

Today is the day!
Two weeks ago I buyed a #raspberrypi. But not a normal raspberry pi, a “Nintendo” one!
It was part of a #kiosk of the #Nintendo #Switch.

So that's at least 3x they've moved it... but more interestingly it seems to havespawned a whole load of micro-quakes aftershocks overnight too! Woohooo :)
