So for today's #didit I planned to delete my #Paypal account.
I like to download all my data as is my right due to the #gdpr. Unfortunately it seems on Paypal you can't get your data without having a still active account, so I'll have to wait for another month to request deletion. Consider this a heads-up.
At least I made sure that I made sure that I won't use it again (removed bank, set daily limit, quit recurring subscriptions).
At least I got notified by Discord that they finally deleted my account. At least it did not take 90 days, like it does with Twitch. How is that even legal?

Nachdem ich bereits mein Ersatz- #Paypal Konto gelöscht habe, möchte ich mir heute mein Hauptkonto vornehmen und eine Übersicht von meinen letzten Nutzungen erstellen, ob es Gründe geben könnte es vorerst beizubehalten, oder es direkt zu löschen.
Außerdem bin ich am Nachmittag in #Ilmenau im @ilmspace

Der #diday ist ja eine echt tolle Idee. Ich würde gern mitmachen.
Allerdings bin ich digital schon weitgehend unabhängig. Nur eine Sache fällt mir ein: #Paypal durch #Wero ersetzen.
Der Haken: das würde mich abhängig von #Android machen und das will ich nicht. Naja, mal schauen. Vielleicht wird das ja noch möglich. Dann mach ich auch mit!

Gerade raus gefunden, dass #Wero (als Alternative zu #paypal) nur via App funktioniert. So viel dazu.🙃 Banking App kann ich auf meinem #Lineage Telefon vergessen. Mal wieder Zwang eine App zu nutzen / Google-Android zu nutzen… Toll. Nicht.

Unfortunately, it's come to my attention that PayPal collects or will collect more personal information than required for handling processing, like online behavior, and feeding that into their AI. This is a breach of privacy and trust. I am therefor canceling my PayPal account.
Unfortunately, because Bandcamp only allows Paypal for payment processing, Opaque Mass material will no longer be for sale on Bandcamp. In case this leads to a departure from Bandcamp entirely, be sure to download any material you've purchased.
