The beauty behind a computer is that you can feed it binary code and then ask it to give you varied responses, once it has a simple language it can transform it into an image into a song and to code any interesting thing is you only have to give it the basics and it will develop complex results all on its own you don't have to give a complex examples sadly with AI people forgot that and harvested billions of bites data and fitted into a system expecting it to learn, it learned with a very simple basics it would have produced very complex results without being fed the complex recipes.
Ai causes Brain Rot;
didn't they say that about the abacus the slide rule the calculator the typewriter and the early computers, and yes I currently believe AI can rot the brain but as it grows and improves it may actually strengthen individual intellect having something that has every answer at its disposal you'll free up the human mind to actually study and learn things that AI will never be able to comprehend or describe just my two cents;
I think it is, Ai is only so smart, you actually have to know how to use it to get anything meaningful out of, on the surface there are a lot of people using Ai for rather dumb things, but if you feed it garbage and don't actually know what your feeding it, you get garbage back dressed in a nice package, I think over time as people realize that Ai has actual power to become a digital encyclopedia with a built in dewy decimal system attached to a microfiche, Ai may have the ability to "think" but it can only produce a return of use if it is given proper parameters, currently the majority of users lack that ability mainly because people do not understand what Ai actually is, that said, using it for every little thought that pops in ones head, can and will cause brain rot, we have to think to stay mentally healthy, I can ask Ai to create an image, a piece of music, a line of code, but if I do not know how to do those things already and I feed a prompt Make a Sunrise with birds chirping, I may get that or I may get a bird chirping with its beak wide open and the sun coming out of its mouth, where as if I give it very detailed instructions, the sun coming up in the east, your in the south facing north, and the birds are on the tree branches in the east, Im going to get a more realistic image, I have to know what exactly what I want to get it out of Ai, otherwise Ai will just randomly spit something out that may or may not be close, anyways, I see a lot of potential for both failure and success when it comes to Ai, but with all tools the user really needs to already know how to use it to have it work correctly;
I would like to see education on how to actually utilize Ai being promoted, because currently there is a clear and present danger in it's utilization through ignorance, first the LLM's are set up to record what prompts they are receiving and the more garbage in the more garbage out, and second the more people haphazardly use it the faster of their own intellectual decline, I really think Ai when properly used can be an immense tool for society as a whole, sadly far to many are currently running before they learn how to walk in regards to Ai, and that is where the danger lies;
