Standing on the precipice of the abyss, knowing the void consumes all light sound and existence it's self, leaving you in a perpetual state of pain and hyper conscious awareness, the well of gravity pulls you into the void, where you find yourself without breath, a heart beating beyond rhythm, and there is simply nothingness at all, for if not your pain and thoughts would you even be at all, for within this abyss there is an overwhelming lack of existence, a state of being that defies reality that defies belief, for every bit of knowledge and wisdom from all of time floods your conscious mind, unable to move unable to leave there is no forward nor lateral movement at all, simply existing in every point of existence simultaneously, the pure absences of light and sound are both calming and horrifying the inability move while trapped in eternal pain is excruciating, one moment on the precipice and the next your deep inside;

Through the transcendence of interdimensional spirit transportation, often I lose moments that can last hours, my body simply freezes in time fully aware yet completely void of consciousness, where my soul goes or does is of no memory, often upon returning I am left confused as to the actions that lead up to the transport, for instance my coffee cup could be full, empty or in my hand, and I have no memory of why, anyways the frequency and length of these transits are completely random, one thing is clear with every passing day my executive cognitive function declines, the amount of words I had to look up in this post for the correct spelling is far greater than is acceptable, meanwhile the amount of pain increases equally, other than the fact I am "N of 1" there is no codifiable quantifiable explanation to my turbulent disabled impoverished existence, it appears that out of spite the universe is maintaining this biological form, possibly as some cosmic joke or lab experiment; In any event it is incredibly exhaustive being me;

As the sun is rising slow on a blustery January morning, the birds are sparse and the squirrels are carefully scavenging, no geese nor ducks to see the deer have all hid themselves away, no rabbits hopping about no fox nor skunk to smell, the ground is barren void of life and snow, the sky is blue but the sense of environmental doom is in full bloom, for the weather shifts and the earth still spins, the damage of man's folly can be seen in this empty winter scene, for we have lost all time, to how long we last remains to be seen, there should be snow, there should be wildlife here and there and everywhere, this barren world we made will not last many more days, for now we are all doomed as humanity and earth are in their winter years;

After a frigid sleepless night the old man drags his lifeless body from a sunken bed of jagged ice, as the classical music plays he shuffles his stiff pain riddled body off to make his coffee, as his hands tremble in the cold he pours in the water and counts the scoops of grind, after fumbling to plug in the percolator the coffee begins to perc, stumbling off to the toilet his bowels bellow out in hunger, glancing in the mirror a frozen face with disheveled hair and beard stare back, his hands to weak to even try to brush them out, he thinks who cares anyways, shuffling back to his bed, he struggles to pull on his socks on his icy feet, his pants stiff from the cold become a chore to pull on, he stands shivering as he pours a cup of coffee, he carefully packs his pipe with scraps of tobacco, he pulls on his coat, as he opens his door the winters air slaps him like a knife, he steps outside, the sun starting to rise, as the world awakens not a soul could care of this old mans life and the plight he faces each day and night;
