To use Element Admin you have to have direct access to Synapse's admin API using the Homeserver's hostname.
Synapse docs: "For security reasons, we recommend that the Admin API (/_synapse/admin/...) should be hidden from public view using a reverse proxy. This means you should typically query the Admin API from a terminal on the machine which runs Synapse."
So what am I supposed to do with that, what is Element HQ's plan for me to run this securely?

The #matrix protocol is getting more and more popular as a response to Age Verification systems being pushed more and more, but there are very few resources I was able to come across that help set up the relatively complex systems needed to run a proper Matrix server.
After setting one up on my homelab, I documented the process in hopes that it can be helpful to others wanting to experiment with it.
