@hack13 the thing is, dendrite hasn't been updated for more than half a year at this point. And if you want features and compatibility you've gotta go to synapse which is even heavier. I wish #matrix had more diversity in server implementations

Nun bin ich XMPP-interoperabel unterwegs, auch wenn unter Matrix da irgendwie die E2E-Verschlüsselung nicht oder nicht richtig geht.

I am sorry... I have just been struggling to really enjoy running #matrix because it just feels even using dendrite a bit to heavy for what it is... I really kinda miss the #xmpp stuff which just feels more robustly usable, and less admin headache. It might be just me, but wondering if others agree?
I mean I like the fact of Signal's security and other apps... but I prefer being on a platform that I can host and control.
