Recent massive Aurora displays from Solar storms, CMEs, also expanded the atmosphere and created drag on Hubble, enough to slow it down, decreasing its orbital height. - which slows it more.
Hubble is now in danger. Its life span is now measured in months. 20 to 40.
Hubble MUST be pushed into a higher orbit, or burn up.
Soon. We must be planning its rescue now.

Zum Thema Forensoftware ist mir noch NodeBB (https://nodebb.org/) aufgefallen. Es unterstützt ohne zusätzliche Plugins ActivityPub, so dass Forenbeiträge von NodeBB automatisch in z.B. Mastodon sichtbar werden, wenn das für die jeweilige Forengruppe so konfiguriert ist.

@MelodicDinosaur Hello, welcome to the #Fediverse. Curl up on your sofa with a comforting cup of tea (I see you're on the relevant server for that!) and make yourself at home.
I'd be lying if I said it's all lovely here (there are annoying idiots on Fedi like everywhere else) but it's very straightforward to mute or block them and after a short time when you've followed plenty of nice people you don't even notice the odd idiot slipping through onto the timeline.
Don't be scared of hashtags, they're you're bestest friend here - just like with individual accounts, follow all the hashtags that seem interesting. You can always unfollow (accounts and/or hashtags) later.
And use plenty of them in posts yourself, to ensure like-minded people see what you're saying.
