On this day, March 13, 1979, the New Jewel Movement (NJM), led by Maurice Bishop, launched a bloodless coup in Grenada, overthrowing Prime Minister Eric Gairy while he was abroad. This revolution established the People's Revolutionary Government (PRG), which ended Gairy's controversial regime and implemented socialist policies until 1983.

Noch ein Nachtrag zum Account-Aufräumen — danke für euer Feedback! Wir werden inaktive Accounts nicht nur per E-Mail anschreiben, sondern auch per Direktnachricht hier auf Mastodon benachrichtigen. Doppelt hält besser. Und die Löschungen laufen in kleinen Batches über mehrere Wochen, damit das Fediverse das verdaut. 👍
