I came across this list of tootctl commands that aggressively prunes assets from various mastodon caches. While it does free up a lot of disk space, I wonder how it impacts the wider mastodon community. I worry that it might cause unnecessary traffic and stress on other instances as mine is forced to re-download images that have been purged. Thoughts?

I'm thinking I should ditch Akkoma in favor of #Mastodon. #Akkoma and #Pleroma look like they are lagging behind and there are many bugs. One of them is that I can't follow remote profiles that have not been already discovered.

Ha sido más sencillo porque aquí apenas he hecho hilos, no he tenido que estar pendiente de responder a cuentas más grandes para ser más visto o depender de tuits virales para ganar alcance.
#Mastodon tiene cosas que mejorar. P.ej. sería recomendable que los usuarios pudieran destacar respuestas y ponerlas en 1ª posición cuando son útiles. Con todo, va por buen camino.

Con la adquisición de #Twitter en octubre del 2022, empecé a usar #Mastodon simultáneamente. Al año siguiente, dejé la web del pájaro y usé solo esta, dejando unos 5500 seguidores allí, que han ido menguando.
Ahora me siguen aquí aproximadamente el mismo número y ha sido más rápido (*) y sencillo, aunque empecé con menos y sin el impulso que suponen los "me gusta".
*Usé Twitter entre abril de 2019- septiembre de 2023. Mastodon desde octubre de 2022, pero el crecimiento empezó en verano (2023).
