I've been loving Element Matrix video chat for a few months now. I regularly have video chats with my family, including 4 or 5 video connections from various remote locations for 3 or 4 hours each. Also, it's proved pretty easy to start video chatting with people that I meet on Mastodon in a privacy preserving way.

We have a Mastodon account at the original Mastodon server for @TheMendoVoice.
However, no one follows it and we barely get any activity.
Our publication covers Mendocino County. We're owned by the Bay City News Foundation, which is based in Berkeley.
Would it make a difference if we moved servers?
Even using hashtags doesn't make a difference. I'm beginning to think I should not waste my time investing in Mastodon for TMV as the social manager.
