Has anyone else noticed that #Mastodon sometimes puts the wrong handle at the start of a reply when there are multiple people in the reply? It makes it really hard to work out for whom the response was principally intended.

What gets me is that the abuse scenario the new quote boost functionality is purported to address is still there, it just takes somebody a moment to… copy-and-paste a link.
Imagine where Mastodon would be if they’d focused on making the platform better this entire time without the yoke of placating the HOA crowd adding so much drama and complexity.

Hope Tusky will add support for quote toots soon 
It will be extremely useful to add alt-text to boosted images with no alt-text or to provide translation for Russian memes boosted by myself.
Currently adopted practice with "RE: link to original toot" doesn't allow to see both my text and quoted toot contents on one screen in both Web interface and Tusky

Mietin tässä että pitäisiköhän tehdä toinenkin Mastodon tili johon tulisi kaikki suomenkieliset kirjoittelut ja jättää tämä tili nykyiselleen, eli suurimmaksi osaksi ellei kokonaan englanniksi.
Olisiko tässä mitään järkeä vai teenkö asiat vaan hankalemmaksi itselleni?

It's in your settings under Preferences→Other.
Quote-posting appears to be opt-out rather than opt-in.
