I was on a work trip years ago to the Australian Outback when a herd of cattle blocked the only highway. There are enormous herds of grazing cattle in the Outback, with cattle stations here and there. But it wasn't as if some cowpoke was going to come along and make the cows move, so we sat, stuck, for a couple of hours.
