"Oś czasu Mastodona nie opiera się na algorytmach sterowanych dopaminą – jest chronologiczna i oparta na zgodzie, pokazując tylko posty z kont, które obserwujesz (osoba korzystająca z Mastodona).
To właśnie nacisk na prywatność i świadomą konsumpcję sprawia, że wiele osób decyduje się dołączyć do Fediverse. Stawia to również nowych użytkowników przed nieuczciwym ultimatum: musisz się postarać, aby dowiedzieć się, kogo obserwować, bo inaczej Twoja oś czasu będzie w większości pusta.
Bluesky wprowadził w 2024 r. genialne rozwiązanie tego „problemu pustego kanału”, wprowadzając „pakiety startowe” – funkcję, która pozwala użytkownikom tworzyć i udostępniać własne kolekcje polecanych kont.
Uważamy, że tego rodzaju kolekcje tworzone i selekcjonowane przez użytkowników mogą pomóc im szybciej znaleźć swoją społeczność po dołączeniu do Fediverse. Jednocześnie stworzenie podobnej funkcji, która priorytetowo traktuje zgodę użytkownika i działa w całej konstelacji niezależnych serwerów, nie jest łatwym zadaniem.
W tym wpisie na blogu chcemy porozmawiać o wprowadzeniu podobnej koncepcji do Mastodona i Fediverse. Będziemy używać słowa „pakiety” w odniesieniu do kolekcji identyfikatorów, które można udostępniać, ale nie ustaliliśmy jeszcze ostatecznej terminologii – więc potraktujcie to słowo jako symbol zastępczy, a nie ostateczną nazwę, jaką będzie nosić w Mastodonie."

Wow. Need new mastodon client for iOS. The latest update is a major regression in several simple ways...not at all tested.
I'd almost say the latest upgrade just sucks. Numerous new bugs for simple UI things like tap to scroll, weird formatting with user icons hanging way out to the left, confirm to boost setting not honored. Anyone know a better client? I'd pay up to $10 for non-subscription and no user data collected (mona fits the latter but costs $30!!!).
