.. spending 10 minutes to peruse the Redis documentation turned out to be an excellent idea. The semi-non-volatile #Redis used for our #Mastodon instance was set to sync data to disk way too often, and with the underlying storage being replicated across three servers, it tends to be a little slow at times, courtesy of #Longhorn. Configuring Redis to only sync to disk every 5 minutes seems to give a massive performance boost, with only a small risk of data loss. Data can be easily rebuilt if lost, so that's acceptable.

wie toll es doch waere, wenn es fuer die Mastodon Umfragen die Moeglichkeit geben wuerde, diese auch ohne Account zu nutzen.
Vielleicht ueber die Verifizierung via Email und dann auch darin hinweisen, dass ein Mastodon Account in wenigen Sekunden angelegt ist.
Es gibt so wenige freie & gute, DSGVO-konforme Umfragetools @Gargron - Das waere doch vielleicht ein schoeners Marketingtool, um mehr User:innen auf #Mastodon aufmerksam zu machen

Update abgeschlossen. Auf der Instanz top-netz.de läuft seit 15.10.2025 Uhr die neuste Version von Mastodon v4.4.7
