Wir zünden die nächste Stufe 🚀 : Das #KITKarlsruhe öffnet seine #Mastodon-Instanz für Beschäftigte 
. Am 1. Juli 2025 hatten wir einen eigenen Server 
in Betrieb genommen, aktuell nutzen rund 20 Organisationseinheiten die Instanz als Plattform für #Wissenschaftskommunikation. Von heute an (15. April 2026) können Beschäftigte auch einen persönlichen Account anlegen.

🎙️ Producteur radio, c'est quoi pour moi ?
Loin du micro, je suis le socle invisible. Mon rôle ? Régler les droits d'auteurs et assurer la diffusion technique.
Mais ma mission principale est éthique : garantir que mes animatrices et animateurs bénéficient d'une liberté de parole totale. Je fournis les moyens, elles gardent le ton. Pas de ligne éditoriale imposée, juste un cadre sécurisé pour des voix indépendantes.
C'est la même logique que mon engagement pour un numérique souverain pour protéger l'indépendance des créateurs.
Soutenir la création libre, c'est aussi ça le militantisme concret.

I think my misunderstanding stemmed from the fact that, i'm following a popular hashtag with numerous low quality posts. All of which are appearing on my feed. I'm also getting same entity posts
I realise there's a beauty behind a manually selected feed. Many Social Networks will use a hybrid model of a personalised selection and algorithmic filtering.
Noone wants #mastodon to become another Facebook. Let's respect (and learn from) our foe?

@lisamelton i'll play devil's advocate on this one. I'm a #mastodon noob. So maybe i'm doing something wrong.
My feed features numerous low-effort posts with no community engagement. One after the other. Is there room for improvement in the algorithm?
I don't feel that labelling users who provide feedback - as jackholes? Is professional.
My 2 cents.

Wir verlangen von KI-Systemen, dass sie "fair" sind – aber wer definiert das eigentlich? Menschen. Die selbst ziemlich uneinig darüber sind, was fair bedeutet. 🤔
KI lernt von uns. Vielleicht sollten wir erstmal unsere Hausaufgaben machen, bevor wir der KI Nachhilfe geben.
