Mastodon bekommt rund 614.000 Euro Förderung von der Sovereign Tech Agency. Ziel ist es, zentrale Infrastruktur im Fediverse zu stärken und nachhaltiger zu machen. Ein Teil der Mittel wird auch an andere Projekte vergeben, die offene Standards übernehmen und so Interoperabilität verbessern.
Geplant sind u. a. bessere Moderationswerkzeuge, verlässlichere Infrastruktur, stärkere Unterstützung für Entwickler.innen und klarere technische Standards. Außerdem soll die Zusammenarbeit zwischen verschiedenen Fediverse-Projekten intensiviert werden, um gemeinsame Lösungen schneller voranzubringen.
Die Förderung zeigt, dass öffentliche Institutionen freie, dezentrale Plattformen zunehmend als kritische digitale Infrastruktur erkennen und gezielt unterstützen. Das Fediverse wird damit robuster, anschlussfähiger und unabhängiger von großen Plattformkonzernen.

I come to Mastodon for a break from the usual. Now all I see is endless American politics in the Trending section.
Tell me to "follow the right people" and "the people are the algorithm" all you want, my Home section is just endless slop content in languages I don't speak for some reason.
Of the 147 people I follow, maybe 2 appear in my feed every few weeks.

@serigala_tropis yeah, but I still use #tuba on my desktop because of that problem only occasionally. And I feel (my opinion) tuba is the "best" #mastodon client on Linux desktop till now. They are especially supporting markdown formatting so I can post markdown formatted on #gotosocial.

As you may know:
1) Some of us are a disorganiz-sation of 1-cat (I do have an #invisible cat called #Bast)
2) ...and yet we can. Speak on #Mastodon by #virtue (mostly) of our #American bothers and siestas (error corrected: brothers and #sisters)
3) Shirley and aero-plainly it must be time to be a de-influencer. Am on it with apologies to the pro's (are they our secret wealth tax yet?)
4) OK, created a rant about two #Cambridge UK based companies. I does my best to be worldly, supporting #Gaia (Earth 1 and only). Hope you can forgive all my pausing whilst I search for info. Yep I could remove all the pauses in Audacity. BUT I am not an influencer but a rantcustard/rantcaster. Sorry! I even swore. Bloody Hell! I iz bad!
