Uhm… #Mastodon could have slightly smarter threads - it's kinda weird seeing last message from the therad with "Continued thread" pill above and then the rest of the messages (one by one) bellow.
Also: seeing that someone boosted something (without quote) even though I already have seen (or even boosted) it…

On the latest version of Mastodon in the web UI, the little animation it plays while checking for other replies is really getting on my nerves! 
Seeing the little swirling circle moving while I'm trying to read the thread is very distracting and irritating. I'm not kidding, it really bothers me. It's not just me, is it?
Is there a way to turn off having it auto-check for other replies until I tell it to?
Or even just a way to stop that animation? I already had reduce motion in animations turned on in the settings but I guess they forgot to add this new thing as something that should be included with that.
