¿Sabían que la primera instancia de Mastodon en federar con el nodo original, mastodon.social, fue mastodon.network?

Este evento ocurrió el 24 de noviembre de 2016, apenas semanas después de que Eugen Rochko lanzara el software públicamente. La federación se logró mediante el protocolo OStatus, el antecesor de ActivityPub, permitiendo que usuarios de dos servidores distintos interactuaran de forma remota por primera vez en la historia de la plataforma.

Mastodon.network fue administrada por un usuario conocido como Gargron (quien resultó ser también Eugen Rochko) y otros colaboradores tempranos para probar la capacidad de comunicación entre servidores. Esto marcó el paso de Mastodon de ser un software de red social aislada a convertirse en lo que hoy conocemos como el Fediverso.

I believe that Social media shouldn’t be only profit driven - theres a balance we need to find here but I’m so glad to be part of a community that thinks in the same way.

O man, habe eben mal über die Mastodon Webboerfläche bei den Followern aufgeräumt und alle entfernt die seit 1.1.2025 nicht mehr aktiv waren. Da kam einiges zusammen. Ich hatte mich schon gewundert weshalb die Interaktionen hier so nachgelassen haben aber jetzt ist mir das klar. Mit Karteileichen ist die Kommunikation nur sehr eingeschränkt möglich.

Mir fällt es immer unglaublich schwer, mich in einem Profil zu beschreiben.
Ich will da ja nicht irgend so ein Blödkram schreiben.
Sich selbst auf den Punkt zu bringen... das mag ich irgendwie gar nicht.

Aber Andere möchten ja schon so ungefähr wissen, mit wem sie es zu tun haben - also ist das richtig wichtig.
