Think twice (or 3 times) before giving ANY company your ID and/or face scan folks. We need to resist this kind of disgusting overreach as a whole.

Also never use biometrics on your phone; unless you want your face scan or fingerprint to be in all these gov databases and sold to palantir. 🤷‍♂️

Depuis les dernières révélations de #Mediapart, #Vincent_Claudin semble avoir supprimé son compte #LinkedIn... Insuffisant, sur #Google-Images, on le trouve encore, avec mentionné "Assemblée nationale". 12/16

Due to recent developments: is there a legit #EuropeanAlternative to #LinkedIn that is not cringe or dead like #xing AND respects my privacy? Am I asking too much?

Do job platforms with a social media like UI even work or are they set to fail by default?

Holy hell! DO NOT 'verify your identity' on LinkedIn.

You may be desperate for a job, but the american gestapo is desperate to subjugate the populace.

Das überrascht mich jetzt nicht. Es ist einfach zu viel Geld im Spiel. Viele können vor lauter #gier kaum #denken.

[...] When you click “verify” on LinkedIn, you’re not giving your passport to LinkedIn. You get redirected to a company called Persona. Full name: Persona Identities, Inc. Based in San Francisco, California.

[...] They use uploaded images of identity documents — that’s my passport — to train their AI. They’re teaching their system to recognize what passports look like in different countries. They also use your selfie to “identify improvements in the Service.”

I Verified My LinkedIn Identity. Here's What I Actually Handed Over.

Here's one for all you #LinkedIn-using folks:

> I Verified My LinkedIn Identity. Here's What I Actually Handed Over.

> […] For a three-minute identity check, this is what Persona collected: […] And then there’s the weird stuff: […] Behavioral biometrics. On top of the physical biometrics. For a LinkedIn badge.

It gets better! Make sure to read that post, it's interesting.

🧐 Apparently, our fearless hero decided to become part of LinkedIn's ✨ exclusive ✨ club of verified humans by handing over the digital equivalent of a blood sample, only to be shocked—shocked!—that it involved reading the fine print. 🤯 Who knew trading privacy for a dopamine hit could be so surprising? 🙄
