Ähnlich war es in #instagram da hatte ich innerhalb von 6 Wochen gefühlt 500 follower (auch wegen meiner Söhne und Fußballjugendtrainer) und in #mastodon sind es viel weniger und nur alte Leute 😉. ... aber man kann was ändern ✊

I muted the word "Slavic" and all variants of it several times from my IG feed (I know, it sucks to still occasionally use it). But the algorithm is desperate to show me primarily pro-Russia influencers pushing "Slavic" as an identity or aesthetic (as opposed to a linguistic group or the tool of Russian imperialism and hegemony that it is). It's incredibly frustrating, does anyone else keep being shown content that they mute?

I want to recommend this web series by the extremely talented Gen Z, Vietnamese-American filmmaker Milky Tran (her personal page is also worth checking out). They’re very funny and often touching looks at life (especially dating and family) framed around weekly sessions at her therapist. It comes out 3 times a month and is well worth watching. Unfortunately, I think she only releases them on IG.
