Godot Question:
I thought it would be a good idea to try to stop my game lagging and stuttering.
I have a low-poly Terrain mesh (500m square), with a few low-poly buildings, and about 100 low-poly trees, all in a NavigationRegion3d.
When a new Object is instanced in to the scene, I get a lag - a fraction of a second, very noticeable.
I have tried researching why this would be, and how to fix it but found very little concrete information.
Any Clues?

haven't fixed Planter getting stuck, but found a new bug.
Sometimes (not every time!), my Deliverer thinks a Planter (Worker) is a building, and tries to ask what type of BuildingObject it is.
The Planter obviously replies "Duh! Not a Building!"
This confuses Deliverer, who promptly crashes the program and storms of in a fit of pique
I've filtered the List of Buildings to pre-check that they actually are Buildings, but haven't figured WHY, so I don't know if it will return :(
Finally finished up the intro for Critter Drifters! Which means that the game is at least functionally complete from start to finish.
That is, ignoring the fact that I'm still working on the fourth world boss race and also the final final boss. I also still need to do a final cutscene and "credits" sequence.
Basically it's nice to know that everything I have left to do is all in order of what the player experiences. The main menu is all sorted out now (which I'd been putting off), it kicks you into the intro, etc.
The intro is super cheesy but I love it. It really helped me learn to do cutscenes and longer animation stuff as well.
