Working on some smooth low-poly 3D tiles, for subterranean environments.

Having trouble with Blender, getting the sharp seams/normals to be shared across different tile shapes that they'll tile with. It's tricky to get the edges pointing the same kind of forward, but keep the vertical smoothing. I do like the general look though!

Over my break from work I've been making a cozy video game about doing chores around a farm with a tractor or other vehicles. I just finished coding the 5th quest, which is to plant sunflowers in fields around your home. It's not ready to release yet, but I plan on releasing a 1.0 version this month and add more quests later on. I'll run on Linux, Macos, and WIndows (though I can't test a Windows build, so I'll need help!), oh, and it'll be open source of course!

There is something both satisfying and frustrating about using a software and pushing it to the limit of what it has to offer by uncovering bugs.

Over the holidays, I entered the Jame Gam Christmas edition game jam over on itch.io, and made a 3d platformer called READY, STEADY, GLOW! ⭐️💙💖

Collect the colorful lights and decorate all the trees before the time runs out! It came overall 24th out of 93 entries, which I'm pretty happy with.
