More working on Robot Shooter. Fixing some bugs and learning stencil buffers.
I've been reworking my game dev process by focusing on game systems piece by piece to stay on track and prevent burnout.
This week I've been focusing on a grid system where I can more easily debug tiles and their properties.
Just a little tile map test where I can visualize which tiles are walkable (the red highlights) or not.

you can of course send as many probes as you have in stock. Sending probes has the possibility to break them, but they bring back resources that you need to survive and get out of here.

I try to spend as much time as possible in Godot’s native editor. However, the fact that I couldn’t copy the address of the current line, and its file/resource path - so I could refer to it in chats with friends and colleagues - was quite frustrating. New gifs from my WIP game. I implemented a dice roll mechanic that combines the attack and damage roll. Attack roll needs to be higher than defense to hit. All the excess is counted as damage.
