Uh oh, is the novelty wearing off? A new report suggests ChatGPT's user growth hit a sluggish 5% recently, while Gemini is apparently picking up the pace with a 30% jump.
Are you switching allegiances, or is this just a blip in the great AI race?

🤖 Po 1 měsíci používání placené verze #GPT 4.1 v technickém zaměstnání musím konstatovat, že je to pro můj obor (elektronika a spojovací technika) pěkná a blbá hračka.
Dovede to jaksi nasměrovat, ale často špatným směrem. A rádo to suverénně špatně odpovídá. Komické je, když si odpověď ověřím, zjistím že je špatně, napíšu to GPT včetně správné odpovědi, nacož mi nadšeně poděkuje a pochválí mě za mojí pozornost a najednou dá obsáhlou správnou odpověď 😄 To se stává tak často, že už žádnou jeho odpověď neberu 100% vážně.
Proč se AI tak přeceňuje? Asi aby tvůrci vydělali miliardy za jejich placené verze.
Jsou ale jasně oblasti, kde to je užitečnější, jako třeba programování.

Ok donc là, une prof de #collège qui demande en plein cours aux élèves de générer une image avec #chatgpt sur leur #téléphone (... le fameux qu'il faut interdire hein), le tout en créant un compte hein, ... et je vais encore passer pour un grincheux en allant tenter d'expliquer pourquoi non, fallait pas.

In the past 24 hours I've gotten email spam from OpenAI encouraging me to use ChatGPT and an app store notification that "hey, people are really loving ChatGPT, so you should use their app". Ugh. I did not ask for this. Although I have used it before, I am a certified AI (or at least LLM) curmudgeon. This only encourages me to go yet one more day without using their slop product.
