What constitutes the bad moderation at #bluesky?
For me it's tough because wanting a diversity of perspectives also requires making it as easy as possible to find a place with different policies while not losing your connections, and never having stuff pushed on you via algos etc.
I can't say I understand their situation very well but I'm conflicted. I'm upset they don't do decentralization well yet I'm probably with them at being annoyed at being told to censor more. IDK

Dieses Gefühlschaos in nur 5 Minuten social Network.
Ich hatte Besuch einer Freundin, die wie die meisten Menschen eher gegen Datenschutz und Privatsphäre ist. Sie ist sehr aktiv auf Instagram, x, Tiktok, Facebook, Bluesky usw. unterwegs.
Ich durfte mir das auf ihrem Smartphone anschauen. Ich war 5 Minuten auf Instagram und habe schon den Glauben an das gute verloren. Anschließend noch 5 Minuten auf FB, doch da ist es genau gleich.
Die Menschen scheinen sich alle gegenseitig zu hassen und blühen dabei noch voll auf.
Hätte ich mir noch X und Tiktok angesehen, wäre ich bestimmt ein Fall für die geschlossene geworden, mit erhöhter Suizid Gefahr.
Ich bleibe also dabei, das schlimmste was es auf der Erde gibt, ist der Mensch. Er beutet den Planeten aus, zerstört Umwelt, Natur und Lebewesen, einschließlich der eigenen Spezies.

The #Mastodon vs #Bluesky comparisons that focus on protocol comparisons or ease-of-use in various ways (Mastodon's server choice, Bluesky's until-just-now ridiculous bookmark pins) are valuable but don't get at the basic reason why Bluesky is Bluesky. Which is that it carefully attracted everyone who didn't want to be on Twitter but who was primarily motivated by Internet clout a.k.a. "reach".
