So, Bluesky CEO Jay Graber, fast forwarding down the road of PR catastrophe, starts cynically suggesting we should take “poster strike”, so I have decided to take her up on that offer.
I had enough of Zuckerbergs and Musks of the world, earning trillions by us using their platforms. So I’m off Bluesky. This is a prime example of “fuck around and find out” philosophy in practice.

I hope the members of the Bluesky board start commenting publicly on the meltdown by the CEO. Certain of them have been strident in the importance of Bluesky, its support for decentralisation, and superiority to the Fedi. Now would be a good time to demonstrate that it doesn't suffer from the same problems as Twitter et al. #Bluesky

It's pretty clear from the #Bluesky CEO's shitposting that she really would rather not have all those uppity trans folks and their friends on the platform. Instead she'd prefer to proudly talk to investors about how even J.D. Vance has an account.
It's the digital town square! Everyone is empowered to moderate their own feed, except if you say mean things about Charlie Kirk.

So I hear Jay is a real piece of work these days.
Why are CEOs of Social Media companies invariably jerks?
This is why Bluesky is no better than Twitter/X.
This is why the way forward for digitally connected humanity is small interconnected communities, the fediverse, open social web, web 4.0, whatever you want to call it.
Seems to be the only way to avoid more Musks, and Jays and Zucks that suck.
