People trash #threads for its data harvesting, algorithm & overlord. #bluesky haters callout its polarization, bad actors & lack of moderation. Yet, many cross-reference their involvement on each.
Then there’s #mastodon a complicated, seemingly-empty space with few mainstream sources & lots of people with few credentials talking things up.
What’s your preferred social space & why how do you square up the “evils” of one over the other?

The Mastodon HOA and militant purists are at it again...
If they weren't so high on their horses, maybe they'll notice that Mastodon has a bad reputation outside of the Fediverse and the platform doesn't attract more people in large parts because of them (and the reply people whom I expect to come in my mentions in 3... 2... 1...)
