There was supposed to be a ForumWG meeting this week, but due to low turnout, and the fact that most threadiverse implementors couldn't actually make the meeting time, I have decided to indefinitely postpone the monthly meetings in favour of discussions on @forum-wg directly.
Note once again that the new address is @forum-wg — the old address (@forum-wg@community.nodebb.org) will publish a Move to migrate its followers at some point to this new address.
One reason I'm so fanatical about getting people on the #fediverse is because I really doubt the #BigTech companies let people see the kinds of news they need to see about data centers, ICE concentration camps, the Iran war, etc.
To me, the fact that trusted sources can set up their own servers and broadcast to the world censorship-free is the one of the most exciting aspects of the fediverse, and I don't know why this point is still so abstruse to people.

O #ActivityPub não te obriga a federar, nem tornar as coisas públicas na Internet. Mas padroniza a comunicação entre os sistemas.
E se eu começasse a fazer usando IA?
P. S. Não faça um sistema desses pensando só em serviços de TIC. Meu sonho é poder registrar num sistema que a minha sala precisa de limpeza.

I would say 3; Matrix is also a social web protocol. What you say about these 2 protocols in the rest of the paragraph applies just as much to Matrix;

@wjmaggos @scripting I keep thinking we need a way to tie all of our Fedi profiles together. For example, if my CMS supports #ActivityPub or #ATProto, and I'm also here on Mastodon with Bridgy connecting me to Bluesky, and it's all reasonably open... somehow my profile ought to be a composite of all my available federated resources...

people are only using video cause they want to take advantage of the YT algo. our push back should be saying corporate algos are bad for lots of reasons but we can give you human boosts. but that requires making podcast episodes #APnative. finding a way to run podcasts off of #ActivityPub in addition to RSS.
