Artificial Intelligence in Open Source Game Development
This is my first attempt posting to Lemmy, and I probably should have chosen something a bit more straightforward. I wrote this article on my Discourse server, which is federated with #ActivityPub, so replies from #Mastodon or #Lemmy should be visible in the thread. Unfortunately, I don't think that applies when I share the link in a separate post - as I am doing here. Maybe I'm wrong, though!

I have, once again, expanded my list of domain extensions I would recommend:
.am (Armenia)
.at (Austria)
.be (Belgium)
.ch (Switzerland)
.cz (Czech Republic)
.fi (Finland)
.ge (Georgia)
.is (Iceland)
.li (Liechtenstein)
.nl (Netherlands)
.se (Sweden)
.tw (Taiwan)
All of these countries have strong protections for freedom of speech, including speech that defends and promotes minority rights — such as LGBTQ+ rights. Domain registration is open to everyone... You don’t need to be a citizen or own a business in any of these countries.
I would also add an optional, alternative:
.de (Germany, with registrar help * )
* Germany technically allows anyone with verified contact details within the country to register a domain. Many registrars offer this as a service. However, you should ensure your domain registrar is located outside U.S. jurisdiction.

Oh dear. In my article I had mentioned that the Fediverse's strategy of flying under the raadar has mostly worked out so far, but going forward it'll depend on how aggressive the regulators get. Saying "we can't comply with your laws" is a good way to get regulators to be more aggressive!
