so the Mastodon team is trying to literally implement #censorship as an #ActivityPub feature with quoted toots:

remarkably, after a decade of #activitypub / #fediverse and several years of #atproto / #bluesky protocols, LinkedIn is the only major social media platform type that doesn't face *any* competition from a decentralized, #opensource platform.
Not even a token effort. Interesting, no?

Also, another question,
Is there a project that merge functionality of #Indieweb with #activitypub ?
E.g. a cross compatibily layer with PubSubHubBub, webmentions, etc
To let #indieweb user, website owner comment on #activitypub user & vice versa.
I know following RSS/Atom wouldn't be an issue & that works. I'm more interested in dynamic notifications, pingbacks, search, federation between activitypub & indieweb.

#Mastadon is trying to be #Twitter, but I'm not a Twitter person, and need better options to digest/navigate my incoming Feed.
So I'm thinking about some decent #activitypub based alternatives.
how Mitra social compares vs (streams) ? (summoning @silverpill & #hubzilla avatar astral projection guy, I forgot his name)

When articles, videos and podcasts are native #ActivityPub, maybe people will just boost them directly instead of everybody writing their own posts linking to them. I really wish quote boosts had this functionality in mind. Same with podcatchers, video players and reader apps in the future. Show me what's most boosted in my social graph of the content type you're designed for.
Making all media management better and attention more democratically allocated is the "killer app" of the #SocialWeb.
