Preparing the next book
Almost exactly two years ago, we started working on our German WordPress handbook. Earlier this year it was finally published. While that iteration of the book was about a year's worth of work, we're planning for a way shorter turnaround for the updated issue for WordPress 7. And what can I say? #Wordpress #Elementor hat sich entschieden, Fonts jetzt lieber von google zu ziehen als lokal vor zu halten. Sie hatten das (wohl¹) gehabt und jetzt den Default, wieso scheint, geändert. Wieso macht man so etwas? Damit das Internet noch mehr kaputt ist, wenn Google mal offline geht? Damit noch mehr Daten nach USA laufen (sie schrieben es sogar im Hilfetext, dass lokal die bessere Methode ist …)
¹ Ich schau da nur von der Seite für eine Freundin drauf mit.

Non installerò mai più JetPack sul mio sito WordPress legato allo stigma HIV. Potrebbe solo starmi simpatico quando l'AI incorporata, si metterà d'accordo con il virus HIV per farlo trasmettere in altro modo che non coinvolga sesso e sangue; tipo dicendo "AVADA KEDAVRA!" E si evita rispondendo "PROTEGO!" Mi hanno chiuso "plusbrothers" come account wordpress com; prima escludendo il mio selfhost blog dal reader, poi chiudendo senza preavviso. Io alle loro condizioni non sto, non posso evitare di nominare sesso e sangue in un blog su HIV! Finché posso, uso #WordPress senza jetpack. Per non parlare delle statistiche, non puoi usarle se hai un link esplicito di supporto. Ti fanno pagare anche l'aria che respiri.

マストドンでハッシュタグタイムラインを確認した時に、全く関係ない私の投稿があって、ブログに付けたタグの誤りに気付いた。WordPressの編集で該当のタグのチェックを外して保存したり、投稿の一覧で「クイック編集」を使えば、タグの修正ができる。しかし、該当の投稿に関してはどちらで試しても問題のタグを削除できなかった。そこで、データベースのテーブルを直接編集することにした。どのテーブルを編集したら良いかすぐに分からなかったので、Geminiに尋ねたら教えてくれて、問題のタグを削除することができた。Geminiの回答を残しておく。最後にSQLでの確認例を紹介してくれているが、それは実行してない。 [...続きは下のURLで]

まだテスト中の機能だそうだけど、WordPressのActivityPub連合機能で、フォローしているアカウントの投稿をWordPress内の画面で読める「ActivityPub Reader」が追加されたみたいで、今後のアップデートが気になる。
