Does anyone know of a woocommerce coupon plugin developed by someone who has actually used a coupon before? Because the logic of pretty much every one I've ever used (ok that's probably only like 2 or 3 plugins) is just nonsensical.

Okay to be fair, it's WooCommerce's built-in logic that's the issue, but if I were going to develop coupon extension (and I just might), personally I'd tackle the base behaviour and then move onto advanced logic.

For example, we have a coupon that takes $25 off your order if you buy 10 of a certain category (let's call this category "Widgets"). However we don't want clearance items to contribute to that count, so under Product Categories I select "Widgets," then under Exclude Categories I select "Clearance." But this doesn't just make a clearance widget not count toward the 10 product minimum, it makes the entire order ineligible for the coupon???

In what world does a business owner want people putting *less* product in their cart? If the customer wants to buy 10 regular price widgets to get the coupon, plus a couple clearance widgets on the side, why tf shouldn't they be able to do so?

UGH it's infuriating. I guess I'm just going to handle this one programmatically, unless someone knows of a plugin that overrides this insane behaviour. I've tried both Extended Coupon Features, and WooCommerce Smart Coupons, both of which give me a host of extra features, none of which solves the core issue.

It would also be nice if that coupon could be stacked, e.g. customer puts 20 widgets in cart, gets $50 off. It looks like Smart Coupons has the ability to generate a new one-time coupon from a template once a cart becomes eligible, though I haven't played with that feature to see if it will generate another for each multiple of the min. qty. Somehow I doubt it (I've learned to expect only pain and suffering from Woo plugins lol).
