Anders als bei dekorativen Mustern liegt der Fokus dabei nicht auf dem Ornament, sondern auf der Struktur. Seine Punkte wachsen, schrumpfen, verschieben sich im Raum – sie erzeugen eine Bewegung, die über das Bild hinausweist. Manche Leinwände zeigen Hunderte kleiner Kreise, die sich allmählich zu größeren verdichten, bis sie das ganze Bildfeld erfüllen.
