@derdreschi85 Been there, done that. The #Ubuntu team introduces bugs into #Gnome when they modify it to look like #Unity. Last time I did exactly what you say it destabilised the entire system. And #GnomeExtensions brought up even more bugs and crashes.
I would probably have to remove #Canonical's Gnome and transplant a vanilla one from some third party PPA. At this point it is more convenient to just install #Fedora.
#Debian is sooo not for me.
