Unity CEO Matt Bromberg says a new AI tool will let anyone build casual games using text prompts. No coding needed. Beta launches at GDC in March.
The AI uses models from OpenAI and Meta. It only works for casual games right now. Complex titles still need human developers.
Nobody doubts AI can build a game. Whether anyone will want to play one typed into existence in 10 minutes is a different problem entirely.

So glad that I moved away from using Unity for any of my projects, the current CEO, Matthew Bromberg just announced a new AI game generation tool for generating casual games without "having to touch any code" that will "democratize game development for non-coders".
While I'm all for accessibility and opening up the industry to people who are creative in other areas aside from programming, this is just disgusting and honestly kind of depressing.
