Ein Social-Media-Verbot nur für Kinder macht das gleiche wie beim Glücksspiel. Es sagt: Für Erwachsene ist das schon okay. Damit wird ein potenziell lebensgefährliches Geschäftsmodell legitimiert. Die Plattformen bleiben gebaut wie Sucht-Maschinen. Nur das Einstiegsalter wird verschoben. Dann werden aus Kindern „endlich Erwachsene“ und laufen mit Anlauf ins Messer. Das ist kein Schutz. Das ist Verantwortungslos.

In short: Mastodon solves the ownership problem radically – but pays with complexity and has therefore so far failed to attract users beyond a niche. We have in the past year written, how targeted innovation support could solve these problems. The advantage that Mastodon has over all other European alternatives: it is more than an idea, it already exists with millions of users and has a large community.

Social Media ist wie Glücksspiel. Es ist so gebaut, dass du bleibst. Du sollst immer weiter scrollen, klicken, reagieren. Wie beim Automaten: noch ein Versuch. Viele verlieren dabei Zeit, Schlaf, Geld, Nerven und haben am Ende ihr Leben nicht mehr im Griff. Und wie bei der Glücksspielindustrie schaut die Politik eben nicht nur zu. Der Staat verdient sogar mit, statt hart zu schützen.
