Later today I’m going to delete this account and this isn’t a goodbye announcement. Social media used to be a technology used to freely discuss and belong.
Now, it’s a vicious arena of social competition where every utterance has to be absolutely perfect or you’ll suffer humiliating moderation or abusive dogpiling.
The old tech had immense value. But businesses whose primary operating principle seems to be social rejection and exclusoon, are toxins. We lost something.

#India has introduced new rules that make it mandatory for #socialmedia companies to remove unlawful material within three hours of being notified, in a sharp tightening of the existing 36-hour deadline.
The amended guidelines will take effect from 20 February and apply to major platforms including Meta, YouTube and X. They will also apply to AI-generated content.
