I've noticed a large spike in followers lately that seem to be a bit fake or botty.
#mastodon seems to be getting attention from something attempting to invade it with bots or fake profiles.
They'll follow me and have few themselves, very few posts, a picture of someone attractive (usually female) and a bio that isn't offensive/sexualized, but seems AI generated to fit with what a Mastodon profile may have.
Then a few hours to days later they'll disappear.
