Just went for a walk around the local lake and forest on a gloriously sunny day.
Then the sad spectacle of a young couple, both with their noses in a smartphone, smoking, whilst their poor kid just sat on a bench, wishing someone would show some interest in him.
Smartphone addiction is a terrible and largely unrecognised affliction; it should be seen as something akin to drug abuse.
